Year 5 & 6 Water Polo

This term’s water polo for Years 5 & 6 will commence on MONDAY 6 October 2008 at 3.45pm.  The club will run for 8 weeks and anticipated session dates are 6, 13 & 20 October, 3, 10, 17 & 24^tNovember and 1 December.   (8 December 2008 will be used if there are any cancellations) Sessions will be run by Mr McPherson and Michael Hanson-Morris.  The cost will be £10.00 for the 8 weeks.

It is important that children attend punctually every week in order to support their team.  Water polo hats will be distributed at the first session.  These hats must be left at school, not taken home. Many children choose to use a towel on poolside between games – please ensure that these are clearly named!!

All water polo sessions commence at 3.45pm and we must request that parents are on the premises or have made arrangements to collect their children by 4.45pm. Actual finish times are staggered dependent on which two teams are involved with in the last match and vary as a result between 4.25 and 4.45pm approx. Children and parents should be aware that with supervising adults on the poolside, early departures and changing room behaviour cannot be closely monitored and the children therefore will be put in a position of trust to act appropriately once they have left poolside.  Usual pool changing rooms are used for these sessions.

If your child wishes to participate, please complete the form below and return it, together with your payment, no later than Monday 29 September, to the black PTA box in the entrance hall.  Cheques should be made payable to Balsall Common Primary School PTA, with the cheque guarantee card details written on the reverse.  Please put your cheque in a sealed envelope with your child’s name, class and ‘UKS2 Water Polo’ clearly marked on the outside. E-payments for “swimming” are also acceptable but please ensure the slip below is also returned if paying by this method

For safety reasons, numbers have to be limited.  Places will, therefore, be allocated on a first come, first served basis.  You will only be advised if there is no place for your child.
