 Year 6 Kwik Cricket

  Wednesday 7th June 2006

A squad of Year 6 cricketers competed in a Kwik Cricket tournament on Wednesday, organised by Warwickshire County Cricket Club.  The group of nine players made a tentative start to what was their first tournament of the year.  Out of four games, the squad lost 3 and won one, and showed an impressive rate of improvement as the afternoon progressed.  By the final match, they were fully up to speed with the demands of tournament cricket, and finished the day nicely with a superb victory over the side from Coppice School.

The boys (and girl!) competed with great enthusisam and spirit - well done!  Pictured below is the squad:  (Back row) Jack Hinett, Harry Malone, Danny Lee, John Byrne and Elliot Nelson.  (Front row) Robert Bayliss, Jack Crossley, Jordan Sutcliffe and Emma Thomas.
